TFI Alumni Take Home Honors at Full Frame

The winners at this year's Full Frame Documentary Film Festival were announced today and a handful of TFI alumni took home prizes.

The Grand Jury Award went to TAA and Gucci Tribeca Documentary Fund grantee Joe Brewster and Michele Stephenson's American Promise (pictured above), which has been gaining attention on the festival circuit since premiering at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.

Two other alums, which also found praise previously in Park City in January, found laurels at Full Frame: Roger Ross Williams' God Loves Uganda (Gucci Tribeca Documentary Fund), which took home the Inspiration Award and Cutie and the Boxer's (TFI Documentary Fund) director Zachary Heinzerling won the Emerging Artist Award, honoring first time directors.

Lastly, Marco Williams' world premiere of The Undocumented (TAA), about the immigrants who have lost their lives trying to cross the US-Mexico border and the families who have to deal with their loss, received an honorable mention from the Full Frame jury.
