Thanks to two different platforms we are given an inside look at the recovery of our region following Hurricane Sandy. For this episode we talk to the directors of This Time Next Year (premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival and is the inaugural recipient of our Resilient Communities Project program), Jeff Reichert and Farihah Zaman, and the co-creator of Sandy Storyline, Rachel Falcone.
TTNY spotlights Long Beach Island, NJ for one year following the storm and focuses on the community as they work to build back their lives. While Sandy Storyline is a transmedia participatory documentary project born just after the storm where they collected personal stories, photos and videos from Sandy survivors.
Here we learn more about both of these projects and how they will be working together to continue healing communities by telling their stories.
Big thanks to Picture Motion for partnering with us on this episode.
