TFI-Supported ‘Naz & Maalik’ Headed To SXSW

The South By Southwest 2015 lineup was announced earlier today and Jay Dockendorf's Naz & Maalik, supported by our IWC Filmmaker Award, is headed to Austin.

The film, which will have its world premiere at the fest, follows two Muslim teens on a Friday afternoon who suddenly have he attention of FBI surveillance when their secretive behavior and small-time scheming start to look like violent radicalism.

Naz & Maalik is the latest film supported by the IWC Filmmaker Award, which provides finishing funds to feature-length narratives whose stories are designed for an audience ready for themes that stretch the boundaries of storytelling.

The film portion of SXSW will run March 13-21.
