We have teamed with the Brooklyn arthouse Nitehawk Cinema to present a summer documentary series that highlights four documentaries that found high praise at this year's Tribeca Film Festival.
Running from July 21-24, the series kicks off on the 21st with this year's opening night film at TFF, Nas: Time Is Illmatic (Tribeca All Access® alum) by One9, which looks back on the legendary Nas album, Illmatic; the next night Jennifer Grausman and Sam Cullman's Art and Craft (TFI Documentary Fund alum) will take you into the life of notorious art forger Mark Landis; night three will be a screening of An Honest Liar, which looks at James "The Amazing" Randi and is directed by Justin Weinstein and Tyler Measom; then the series will close with the winner of Best Documentary at this year's TFF, Marshall Curry's Point and Shoot (Gucci Tribeca Documentary Fund alum), the film follows the incredible journey by Matthew VanDyke into the Libyan revolution, which he captured all on camera.
All screenings will be followed by Q&As with the filmmakers (moderated by your favorite TFI and TFF staff) and a reception in Nitehawk's downstairs bar.
Tix are on sale now, hurry up and nab them!
