This Fall, Tribeca Film Institute’s Education Department launches a new film series for youth, educators and community with a focus on food justice, a universal issue impacting people and communities across the US. The series will spotlight four documentary films that address the issues currently impacting the food system from the local to the national level. The goal of the series is to educate and empower young people about the state of the current food system so that they can make better-informed decisions about what they consume, and learn how they can become active players in the growing movement to create a more equitable and sustainable food system. Each screening will be followed by a Q&A with filmmakers, activists, and local urban farmers to engage students in deeper dialogue about the issues. The series will feature a panel, kickoff screening for educators, and a culminating screening for students.
