Chris Courtney Martin is an award-winning screenwriter from Philadelphia, PA. Martin is mostly known for her work in Horror/Thriller, which has garnered spots on the Young & Hungry List (2018), Bitch List (2018) and Grand Jury Prize for Best Screenplay at Urbanworld Film Festival (2017). She was also named one of the International Screenwriters Association’s Top 25 Screenwriters to Watch in 2019. Through her work, Martin strives to represent Black women and other people of marginalized experience through the lens of speculative genres. She coined the motto "craft with conscience," which expresses her passion for producing socially relevant/politically progressive works and maintaining artistic integrity. Martin currently resides in Los Angeles and is represented by Gersh and ROAR Management.
