About
Drew is a writer, photographer, and videographer that earned a degree in Film, Screenwriting, and Creative Writing from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor in 2019. Being passionate about writing from a very young age, he now aims to bring unique Black stories to the forefront through writing and media. This has manifested in his work, such as the screenplay IN THE BLACK, which has been recognized and awarded by the likes of The University of Michigan's Hopwood Awards Program, LAUNCH Screenplay Competition, The Creative World Awards, and Your Script Produced. His goal is to become a novelist, writer/director of feature films, and a TV showrunner. He also wishes to foster creative spaces and hubs in Detroit and Metro-Detroit for Black youth.
