Laura Terruso

Laura Terruso is a screenwriter, director and producer. She recently premiered her first feature film as writer/director Fits and Starts, starring Wyatt Cenac, at the 2017 SXSW Film Festival. She co-wrote the film Hello, My Name Is Doris, starring Sally Field, which premiered at SXSW and took home the Audience Award in the Headliners category. The feature is based on her short film Doris & the Intern. Released by Roadside Attractions, it went on to become one of the top grossing indies of 2016. She attended NYU’s graduate film program at the Tisch School of the Arts.
