Madeleine Hunt - Ehrlich was raised on the Lower East Side in New York City. She is the 2014 Princess Grace Foundation graduate student award winner in film, and has worked on documentary segments for broadcast on CBS Sports Network. Her work has received grants from National Black Programming Consortium and Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. Madeleine apprenticed with photographer Jeanne Moutoussammy-Ashe, was a 2011 work fellow at Aperture Magazine and a 2013 Flaherty Seminar fellow. Her work has appeared in Small Axe Journal, The Studio Museum of Harlem’s Studio magazine, ARC magazine, Bomb Magazine’s blog, Guernica Magazine among others, and has been exhibited in New York, Miami and London. Madeleine studied photography at Hampshire College and has an MFA in film from Temple University. Her work explores themes of physicality, violence, and identity.
