Director
A Cuban-American raised in new york City, Marilyn Agrelo's diverse background and identity have shapen an early awareness of social themese she continues to explore through her work. She has been working in film production for over 15 years, including projects such as Smash the Kitty an The Orbin Story, as well as films for fundraisers, commericials, and interractive museum installations. Her first documentary feature, Mad Hot Ballroom, showed in theaters across the country for over 24 weeks, and is one of the top 10 highest grossing documentary films of all time. Agrelo is also working on a documentary feature titled Us and Them, a personal project about the contrasting truths and points of view of her divided families in Cuba and the United States.
Producer
Mia Riverton is an accomplished producer and actress, having worked in film, television and theater for over a decade. She most recently produced and starred in the critically-acclaimed film Red Doors, which was theatrically released in the fall of 2006 and is now available on DVD. Red Doors won Best Narrative Feature at the Tribeca Film Festival, a Special Jury Prize for Acting at CineVegas, and the Audience Award and Grand Jury Award for Screenwriting at Outfest 2005. A singer-songwriter since childhood, Mia wrote and performed a song for the film’s soundtrack. She also cowrote and coproduced a one-hour pilot for CBS based on Red Doors.
Screenwriter
Stephanie Sanditz is a screenwriter/actress born and raised in Creve Coeur, MO (aka "Broken Heart, Misery"). She has written 2 features, including the modern, film-noir love story “Moving Picture”, and she is working on a comedy, “Happy Me Day”. She has also written 2 spec television pilots that are currently in development. She has performed on many NY stages including Tom Noonan’s, Paradise Factory, off-Broadway’s “The Donkey Show”, and Mac Wellman’s “Jennie Richee” at St. Ann’s Warehouse. She has been on numerous television shows including “Strangers With Candy”, “Law and Order”, “Law and Order: Criminal Intent”, as well as in films including “Kate and Leopold, “Brother”, and “Transdermal”. She is a Dean's Honors Scholar graduate of NYU's Tisch School for the Arts.
