Providing a rare glimpse into the only male hula school in Hawaii, Na Hula Kane chronicles the teachings of the legendary hula teacher Robert Cazimero, a major fi gure in the Hawaiian renaissance movement.

Co-founder of bluestocking films, Lisette Marie Flanary recently completed America Aloha: Hula Beyond Hawaii, for PBS. The film received a Cine Golden Eagle Award, a Silver Hugo at the Chicago International Television Festival and a Bronze Plaque at WorldFest Houston. Since graduating from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts Film Program, Flanary has worked on numerous independent productions including the short film Kill Kimono and teh Student Academy Award-winning Homeland. She has an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the New School University and received the CPB's Travel Fellowship to INPUT, Spain. She has also served as a panelist for ITVS and the New York State Foundation for the Arts.

Keo Woolford is a multi-disciplinary artist, born and raised in Hawai`i, who began dancing hula in high school. In 1999, he became a member of Robert Cazimero’s Halau Na Kamalei. Since then he has been performing hula with The Brothers Cazimero around the US and Japan. His career in theatre began in 1995 with his critically acclaimed and self-penned one-man show, He Hawai`i Au. In 2002, Keo completed his run starring as the King in Rogers And Hammerstein’s The King And I at the London Palladium in London’s West End. He currently resides in New York where he continues his artistic pursuits and teaches hula for the Hawai’i Cultural Foundation.
