'3 1/2 Minutes' Goes To HBO

HBO has announced that it's acquired the U.S. TV rights to Gucci Tribeca Documentary Fund-supported documentary 3/12 Minutes.

Directed by (Who Is Dayani Cristal?), the film looks at the shooting death of black teen Jordan Davis and the trail of his killer.

The doc will air in the late fall, preceded by a theatrical release. It premiered in the U.S. Documentary Competition at Sundance last week.

The transmedia component of Silver's previous film, was supported by the TFI New Media Fund.
