Like a great meal, the creation of a film requires the right elements. That's the genesis of Key Ingredients, now in its second year, a Tribeca Film Institute event pairing filmmakers with projects in development and industry figures from the cinema world and beyond over a fantastic lunch in the Bouley Test Kitchen. Six alumni from the Tribeca All Access program were selected to present, going over their work, the status of their production and their needs. As TFI's Director of Feature Programming Tamir Muhammad put it, "We wanted to have a space for everyone to come and collaborate and hear about these projects." Added Tribeca Film Festival co-founder Jane Rosenthal, the event allows us "to not only test great samplings of food but to test all of our creative ideas."
This year's six selections included both narrative and documentary projects in varied stages of development:
Crayton Robey: Pines '79 Lisa Collins and Mark Schwartzburt: Oscar’s Comeback Sasie Sealy: SarahN_12 Bethann Hardison: Invisible Beauty Afia Nathaniel: Neither the Vail Nor the Four Walls Michele Stephenson and Joe Brewster: American Promise
