After making its well-received world premiere at Sundance last month, Mosquita y Mari has been picked up for theatrical distribution by Wolfe Releasing.
The film, a coming-of-age drama and love story that follows two young Chicanas growing up in South East Los Angeles, was a 2006 Tribeca All Access selection and is writer/director Aurora Guerrero's feature debut.
Wolfe plans on releasing the film in theaters this year, and on VOD and DVD in 2013.
Aurora shared five of her major influences as a filmmaker with us in January.
