Scenes From the TAA Legacy Tribute: Quincy Jones

Lovers of film and music gathered at Hiro Ballroom in New York on April 28th for the Tribeca All Access Legacy Tribute: Quincy Jones, TFI's event saluting the career and achievements of the legendary musician, producer, film composer and much more.

There were performances by the Music Unites Youth Choir, Marsha Ambrosius, Full Force, ION, Al B. Sure!, Denise Hamilton, Melanie Fiona and others.

Salutes to Jones were offered by Tatyana Ali, Melle Mel, Ice-T, the Tribeca Film Festival's Jane Rosenthal and Robert de Niro and others.

Jones shared some of his own wisdom with the crowd:

"Used to say not one drop of my self-worth depends on your acceptance of me. Not one drop! Because you cannot afford to let an external force define who you are. You've got to know who you are, and then do something about it. Get off your booty and develop yourself. Get your science together because you've already got the soul."
