Seven TFI Alumni Receive Cinema Eye Nominations

Nominations for the 7th Cinema Eye Honors were announced last night and we're happy to announce that seven documentaries that have received support from us have earned noms.

Zachary Heinzerling's Cutie and the Boxer (TFI Documentary Fund) leads all titles with six nominations, including the top prize, Outstanding Achievement in Nonfiction Feature Filmmaking.

Other TFI alum include Our Nixon (TFI Documentary Fund), which received a nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Editing for Francisco Bello; Elena (TFI Latin America Media Arts Fund) is nominated for the Cinematography prize (Janice D’avila, Will Etchebehere and Miguel Vassy); Dawn Porter's Gideon's Army (Tribeca All Access®) and Christine Turner's (TFI Documentary Fund) are nominated in the Made for Television category; Mona Eldaief & Jehane Noujaim's Rafea: Solar Mama (Gucci Tribeca Documentary Fund) is one of the Audience Choice Prize noms; and lastly Teenage (TFI Documentary Fund) is nominated in the Original Music Score category (Bradford Cox).

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in New York in January 2014.
