Wyatt Maker was a Brooklyn teenager when he first took part in a Tribeca Youth program in 2007, when he was a Tribeca Film Fellow and then a participant in the 2007 Summer Arts Institute. His short film Holding Up was a 2008 Our City My Story selection, and in 2011 he returned to the Summer Arts Institute, this time as an instructor. The film he helped produce, Between Brothers, is below.
Wyatt's now in his senior year at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he's majoring in Film Production and Theatre. He wants to continue to write and direct films, and says that "First and foremost, I want to bring a measure of truthfulness to stories that we can all relate to; to stories that have the potential to make us evaluate the way we live and encourage us to change them for the better."
Thank you for your support of Tribeca Film Institute.
