César Gutiérrez Miranda graduated from CUEC-UNAM majoring in Direction and Cinematography.
He works mainly as Director of Photography in feature films such as WORKERS (Dir. José Luis Valle), LA TIRISIA (Dir. Jorge Pérez Solano), LOS OTROS CALIFORNIOS (Dir. César Talamantes), etc.
For his work as cinematographer he has received some awards like the DIOSA DE PLATA, ARIEL AWARDS NOMINATIONS, MEZCAL AWARD FICG33.
In 2013 he creates the production company TIRISIA CINE.
La Negrada
Centered on the Afro-mexican community of Costa Chica, Oaxaca La Negrada explores the socially accepted marriage of Neri and his two wives, Juana and Magdalena. Their marital dynamic shifts when Juana becomes terminally ill.
