About

Dileep Singh Rathore and his partner, Emmanuel Pappas, will oversee the Indian part of the production for Death by Drowning.

Dileep was born and raised in Rajasthan, India. Dileep has a Master of Arts and is the founder of On the Road Productions, a production services company based in India,  servicing the South Asian region; and Kundalini Pictures, a production company specializing in quality features and documentaries.  Prior to starting Kundalini Pictures, Dileep spent the last 13 years line producing international productions being filmed in India as well as Russia such as City of Joy, Queenie, Deceivers, Fire in Paradise and Ajooba. With his highly regarded production experience, Dileep has worked with the late Ismail Merchant, James Ivory, John Boorman and Roland Joffe amongst other internationally renowned artists.

In 2000, Dileep teamed with producer Emmanuel Pappas to form Kundalini Pictures and produce director Digvijay Singh’s internationally acclaimed feature film, Maya(2001). Over the last sixteen years Dileep has worked on projects and assignments with renowned talent such as directors John Boorman, Roland Joffe, Mira Nair, Nicholas Meyer and Little X; actors Pierce Brosnan, Kirk Douglas, Patrick Swayze, Elodie Bouchez; and writers such as Tom Stoppard and Toni Grisoni
Dileep’s experience as Producer extends throughout Asia, Russia, and France. He is based in Los Angeles.

Dileep and his partner Emmanuel Pappas are currently producing Eight Miles High for Warner Brothers in India.  They are slated to also produce Peter Weir’s Shanta Ram for Warner Brothers and starring Johnny Depp.

Dileep’s credits as producer include Opium Royale(2006, pre-production), Smell (2006,  pre-production), Searching For Sara a.k.a Rajapur (2005, US/India), Little Terrorist (2004, UK/India, and nominated for an Academy Award), Maya (2001, USA/India).

As line producer, Dileep has overseen the production of Searching For Sara a.k.a Rajapur (2005, US/India); Fire In Paradise (1997, France) and Other Worlds (2004, France).

As unit production manager, Dileep has worked on City Of Joy (1992, Tristar Pictures/USA) and Deceivers (1988, Merchant-Ivory/UK).

He served as production coordinator for Ajooba (1991, Gorky Studio/India/Russia);
Hathi (1998, Canada) and Queenie (1987, US)
