James is a creative producer based in The Bronx, New York. He has served as the Creative Director for the Dominican Film Festival and Associate Manager of the Ecuadorian Film Festival.
As a filmmaker and activist, James has collaborated with both emerging and professional artists across industries and disciplines and is motivated to produce work that not only addresses the pressing issues of contemporary society but also to share and amplify these stories on a mass scale. James continues to work on projects that help cultivate an artistic and entrepreneurial movement in The Bronx with the mission to build an inspired community of creative talent.
James has earned a BFA in Film and Video Production from the City College of New York and is currently pursuing an MFA in Producing at the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema at Brooklyn College.
With the help of her riotous best friend, a misunderstood teen from Harlem uses her newfound talent for dancing on the subway to save her family from a looming eviction while also navigating young womanhood.
