Miquel Dewever-Plana

Miquel became a photographer in the 1990s. His first photo-stories were shot in Guatemala, where he has been traveling for over 15 years. He met Alma in 2008, and was inspired to help her make a confession.

Isabelle Fougère

CO-DIRECTOR

Isabelle has been working as a journalist and author since 1991. Her stories on human rights and economic development are regularly published. Three years ago, she began working with Miquel on recording Alma’s story.

Hugues Micol

ILLUSTRATOR

A graduate of the École Supérieure des Arts Graphiques de Paris, Hugues has published several comic books that have been acclaimed by critics. For Alma, he imagined a series of drawings reflecting the young woman’s story.

Sébastien Brothier

ART DIRECTOR

Trained at the Ecole d'Arts Appliqués in Poitiers, Sebastien Brothier joined Upian’s team in 2003. Since then, he has held a Creative Director position. Sébastien designed the interfaces for Gaza Sderot, Prison Valley and Alma a Tale of Violence.
