Darius Monroe

Director, Producer

Texas native and Brooklyn transplant Darius Clark Monroe graduated with honors from the University of Houston with a B.A. in Communication and Media Production. He was a television production intern fro ABC, and Short Film Coordinator for the 2004 WorldFestHouston International Film Festival. Monroe is currently enrolled at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Film Program. At NYU he wrote, produced, and directed his award-winning short film, Testify, which screened at the Cleveland International Film Festival, London Gay and Lesbian Intenational Film Festival, and the Miami Gay and Lesbian Internatioinal Film Festival. Testify was also a PlanetOut Short Film finalist. He wrote, produced, and directed the short film, Midway, starring Albert Hall. Midway was a finalist in the HBO Short FIlm Competition at the 2007 American Black Film Festival, and finalist at the 2007 Angelus Student Film Festival.

Daniel Patterson

Producer

 A graduate of Morehouse College, with a B.A. in Theater, Daniel Patterson received his first film internship on Spike Lee’s film 25th Hour. Soon after, he began attending New York University as a student in the Graduate Film Program. While at NYU, Daniel has been the cinematographer on over 20 short films, including awarding winning films Stutter, Surface of Things, Testify, and Midway which collectively, have gone to screen at Palms Springs Festival of Shorts, Chicago International Film Festival, Cinequest, Cleveland, American Black Film Festival, and AFI Dallas to name a few. Outside of NYU, Daniel was a paid camera assistant on Spike Lee’s Sucker Free City and 2006’s box office hit Inside Man.
Currently, Daniel Patterson is shooting two feature length documentaries, Generation Crack directed by Andre Wilkins, and Evolution of a Criminal directed by Darius Clark Monroe.

Keith Davis

Producer

Editor/Director/Writer/Actor Keith Davis is a fixture on the New York acting scene, recently appearing on Broadway in JULIUS CAESAR with Denzel Washington and Eamonn Walker and was featured in FESTEN (Broadway) opposite Julianna Margulies and Jeremy Sisto. A Yale School of Drama graduate his affiliations include The Steppenwolf Theater Co., The Drama Dept., The Public Theatre, New Dramatists, Cherry Lane Theatre, New York Theatre Workshop and The Women's Project among others.
In Television, he has made guest appearances on LAW & ORDER, THIRD WATCH, GUIDING LIGHT and LAW & ORDER: SVU. Additionally he has appeared in several feature and short films including MIDWAY, THE ARRANGEMENT, DE DOMINEE, and Sidney Lumet's latest project, BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOU’RE DEAD with Ethan Hawke and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
In 2006, Davis wrote/directed/edited the award winning short film, SURFACE OF THINGS, which has gone to screen at the Palm Springs Festival of Shorts, Chicago International Film Festival, and AFI Dallas to name a few.
Keith is also an accomplished editor, having worked on several acclaimed shorts: Stutter (Cinequest), Midway (American Black Film Festival), Surface of Things (Palm Springs), and Quincy and Althea (Hamptons). He also assisted JEFF LEVY-HINTE (When We Were Kings) at ANTIDOTE FILMS.
Keith holds an MFA from the Yale School of Drama and is an MFA Candidate at NYU's graduate film school.
Currently, Keith Davis is an adjunct professor at NYU’s TSOA undergraduate film and television program and is the editor of the feature documentary Evolution of a Criminal.

Spike Lee

Academy Award nominated filmmaker Spike Lee has established himself as one of Hollywood’s most important and influential filmmakers. Lee’s films are best known for their sometimes provocative studies of racial prejudice and conflict. Most recently, Spike Lee completed the Emmy Award winning documentary "When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts". In addition to “Levees”, Lee has wrote/produced/directed over twenty feature films including the critically acclaimed films Malcolm X, Clockers and Do The Right Thing.
Currently, Lee is filming “Miracle at St. Anna”. Set in 1944 Italy, “Miracle” is the story of four black American soldiers who get trapped in a Tuscan village during WWII.
