
The sheltered life of Juan Pablo, 16, is turned upside down when he must spend the carnival holiday with his wealthy family at their hacienda in the Ecuadorian Andes and meets self-assured metal head Juano, 17.

Diego Araujo has written, directed and scored shorts that have screened in festivals in U.S., France, Spain, Italy, Argentina, Norway and Ecuador. Feriado is supported by CNCine, Sundance-supported Oaxaca Lab, among others.

Producer
Hanne-Lovise Skartveit has worked in team with director Diego Araujo producing documentaries and spots for UNICEF, a documentary series in Ecuador and animated docs in NYC. She is co-founder of Lunafilms.

Bradford Young won the Excellence in Cinematography Award at Sundance 2011 for Pariah. He has also lensed Middle of Nowhere (Sundance 2012), Restless City (Sundance 2011), Mississippi Damned and Entre Nos (Tribeca 2009), among others.
