Fire on the Hill

Brett Fallentine

DIRECTOR, PRODUCER,

Brett is the director/producer and lead creative voice on Fire on the Hill. After receiving a film degree from UC Berkeley, Brett began working in feature narrative films as an apprentice and assistant editor on Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and Avatar. He then went on to receive an MFA from USC’s school of Cinematic Arts where he received several directing awards. Brett was signed to GOOD Worldwide, where he directed over 27 short documentaries for brands such as Pepsi, Google, Microsoft, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. These projects spurred his transition into documentary filmmaking and his passion for telling authentic, human stories in a cinematic way. When Brett met the Compton cowboys, he knew he had to tell their story. Their unique personas and how they viewed their landscape was so different than the public’s perception, that he felt compelled to bring that to life.
