Ramin Bahrani

DIRECTOR

Writer/Director Ramin Bahrani's films have premiered and screened at such festivals as Venice, Cannes, Sundance, Berlin and Toronto. He has won numerous awards such as the FIPRESCI prize for best film (Man Push Cart, London; Goodbye Solo, Venice), the "Someone to Watch" Independent Spirit Award (Chop Shop), and was the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship. In 2010 Legendary American film critic Roger Ebert proclaimed Bahrani as "the director of the decade." His new film, 99 Homes, starring Andrew Garfield and Michael Shannon, received high praise earlier this year at the Venice, Telluride and Toronto film festivals. His 2014 The Power of Words film is titled Lift You Up.

Frisly Soberanis

Frisly Soberanis comes from Queens, NY via Guatemala. He graduated from the Academy for Careers in TV and Film and is currently pursuing his BA. He is currently a video content producer at Peloton Interactive. He has worked on many projects, including American Promise (Shooter-Sundance, Fullframe), Alien Dawn (2nd Unit-Nickelodeon), and has shot content for Carmelo Anthony. He won the Lotus Foundation Achievement in the Arts Award, was a finalist in the Univision Radio Latino film contest and has had his work screen on Yahoo's Cortos for Hispanic Heritage Month. He hopes to continue producing content and work on the craft. His 2014 The Power of Words film is titled Life You Up, by Ramin Bahrani.
