Jennifer Phang

Director/ Co-Screenwriter

A Berkeley-native of Chinese-Malaysian and Vietnamese heritage. Phang’s feature debut Half-Life premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival and screened at numerous festivals domestically and internationally.  Phang won the Gen Art Grand Jury Prize and the AAIFF Emerging Director Award for Half-Life, and was featured in Filmmaker Magazine's 25 New Faces of Indie Film in 2008.  For her follow-up project, Look for Water, Phang was nominated for the 2008 Adrienne Shelly Director’s Grant and was selected for the 2009 Sundance Screenwriters Lab. Jennifer Phang is a graduate of the MFA Directing program at the American Film Institute, where she received the Holleigh Bernson Memorial Award and the DreamWorks World Studio Foundation Scholarship.

Dominic Mah

Co-Screenwriter

Dominic Mah is a playwright and screenwriter whose play, Look for Water, premiered at the Eureka Theatre in San Francisco, followed by performances in New York and Los Angeles.  Mah is a co-writer of the original TV pilot, Simi Valley, and wrote and directed the indie feature Target Audience 9.1. He is currently developing Cyborg Paladin Roommates, a science-fiction comedy.

Robert Chang

Robert Chang has co-produced two first feature films, both from minority women director/writers: Eunhee Cho’s Inner Circle Line, a Special Jury Prize Winner at the 2006 SXSW, received the inaugural Adrienne Shelly Director's Grant, while Jennifer Phang’s debut film, Half-Life, premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival.  Chang is currently a board director at the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center and the Mental Health Association of New York City.
