Lana Wilson

Lana Wilson is an Emmy-winning and two-time Spirit Award-nominated director, writer, and producer based in New York. Her latest film, The Departure, premiered at Tribeca in 2017 and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Documentary.The Departure was called “Stunning” by Filmmaker Magazine, “A genuinely spiritual experience” by The Washington Post, and “A work of art” by the San Francisco Chronicle. The film toured to festivals around the world and was theatrically released in 30+ US cities. Wilson’s first film, After Tiller, premiered at Sundance in 2013 and went on to win an Emmy for Best Documentary. It was also nominated for an Independent Spirit Award, four Cinema Eye Honors, and the Ridenhour Prize. After Tiller was theatrically released by Oscilloscope and nationally broadcast on POV. Wilson has also worked in television. Previously, Wilson was the Film and Dance Curator for Performa. She has received fellowships from Yaddo and MacDowell and is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt.

Shrihari Sathe

Producer

Shrihari Sathe is an independent producer and director. Sathe's feature directorial debut – Ek Hazarachi Note (1000 Rupee Note) has received over 30 awards including several recognitions for Best Director and Best Film. Sathe is a 2013 Sundance Institute Creative Producing Fellow and has received fellowships from the HFPA, PGA, IFP, Film Independent, and The Sundance Institute. Sathe produced Jaron Henrie-McCrea's Pervertigo (Warsaw/Mumbai FF), Eliza Hittman's It Felt Like Love (Sundance FF / IFF Rotterdam) and Elisabeth Subrin’s A Woman, A Part (IFF Rotterdam/BAMCinemaFest). He co-produced Partho Sen-gupta's Sunrise (Busan IFF/Tribeca FF), Afia Nathaniel’s Dukhtar (Toronto IFF/Busan IFF), Anthony Onah’s The Price (SXSW), Eliza Hittman’s Beach Rats (SundanceFF - ND/NF) among others. Sathe is the receipient of the 2016 Cinereach Producer Award. He is a Trans Atlantic Partners fellow (2013) and Cannes Producer's Network fellow (2014, 2015, 2016). Sathe is an Adjunct Assistant Professor and Production Advisor at Columbia University.

Emily Topper

Cinematographer

Emily Topper was born and raised in Baltimore, earned a BA from Swarthmore College in Literature, and an MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Topper began work in documentary as an intern at PBS, where she hovered around the camera team with envy. In subsequent years, she spent years training in lighting on Hollywood narrative films. Her cinematography feature credits include the 2015 Emmy winner for Best Documentary, After Tiller, The Departure, Ain't In it For My Health: A Film About Levon Helm, All Fall Down, and Elemental. She also directed and produced All Fall Down, which premiered in competition at CPH: DOX in 2014. She is currently shooting a multi-year film about the effects of climate change on mountain farmers in the Andes of Peru.
