The film will be a thrilling, suspenseful and immersive experience, but the excitement will be balanced with the more poignant and reflective tone of Choi’s romantic recollections. A film about filmmakers, we will be overtly cinematic in our approach, playing with the conventions of film grammar to create a more heightened reality. We will use more cinematic shot compositions and stylised lighting in our interviews and dramatisations, favour atmospheric archive over the purely expositional and at times use clips from Choi and Shin’s own films to illustrate the events of the story on a more metaphorical level.
