The Tribeca Film Institute is holding a series of international Hackathon/workshop events, which we call Tribeca Hacks, designed to increase understanding and broaden participation in the field of interactive storytelling. These workshops give creative media artists the insight and skills to create robust interactive prototypes or projects that effectively engage with audiences and the chance to experiment with new tools and technologies. They also showcase innovation in this field for artists, funders and the public. A primary goal of the workshops is to build new relationships between media artists, technologists and designers.
What We Do
Imagine two islands where one has a field of magical tools and the other has hills of imaginative stories. With water between them, these two islands remain separated, their citizens unable to talk across the chasm. We try to be the bridge that brings the islands and its peoples together.
How We Do It
We organize a nationwide series of intensive workshops that brings together content creators and technology specialists to increase understanding and broaden participation in the field of interactive storytelling.
