Tribeca All Access — Year Round Support for Alumni

To date, Tribeca All Access (TAA) has supported over 210 film projects, with many of the filmmakers receiving direct funding, jobs, mentorship, career development, and production assistance through the 3,355 industry meetings and other network opportunities arranged by TAA. This year, TAA will extend its year-round programming and support for alumni by awarding over $25,000 in grants and fellowships along with other industry cultivation intiatives for past TAA projects in development or new works by program alumni. In addition, alumni will continue to have access to a series of workshops, panels, and industry networking events as well as receive promotional support and screening opportunities for completed films.

Below are a list of opportunities exclusively for TAA alumni who participated as a primary writer, director, or producer in any past year of the program. To be eligible - applicants could apply with any past TAA project or new work but must verify what year they particated in TAA on the application.

Grants and Fellowships

- In an effort to assist our alumni with the completion of past TAA projects or further development of a new work in progress, we will award two $5,000 grants to our alumni with feature length projects in any stage. Recipients of this award will be accredited to the Tribeca Film Festival to take part in additional Tribeca All Access activities geared towards the year round development of the program alumni’s projects and career. (Application Required)

Tribeca All Access Trans Media Award - Two $3,000 grants will be awarded to TAA alumni to complete a viscerally engaging short media project that has the potential to activate new audiences across multiple platforms. Grantees will work closely with TAA staff and its partner organizations to explore new ideas for the marketing and sustainable distribution of short form content. (Application Required) 

- In collaboration with the Adrienne Shelly Foundation’s mission to aid in the advancement of talented women filmmakers, Tribeca All Access (TAA) will award a $5,000 grant to one of our selected TAA alumnus to further her narrative project towards completion or distribution. Eligible projects could be at any stage, when applying. (Application Required)

The Games for Change Fellowship for TAA Alumni - At the forefront of digital games breaking through the world for positive social impact, Games for Change (G4C) will collaborate with TAA to provide one alumnus with strategic services to help refine their thinking around the creation of a game as part of their filmmaking process. The fellowship includes a preliminary consultation session with G4C’s Co-­President, Asi Burak, as well as an introduction to one of G4C's Advisory Board members. The awarded project will be pre­selected to be part of one of G4C’s 2011 Programs as well as complimentary accreditation for the filmmaking team to attend G4C 8th Annual Festival in NYC in June 2011. (Application Required)

Audience Activation Grant - One selected filmmaking team will work closely with the TAA staff along with Push Creative, a full service-branding agency, to encourage audience development, fund raising, marketing, and/or distribution of their project through a newly designed website. The grant will include a multi page custom designed website that is media ready (Video, photos, audio), with social media sharing capabilities, potential animated advertising space, along with Content Management System (CMS) and training to maintain the website. Projects may be at any stage when applying. (Application Required)

Professional Development / Marketing & Distribution

Key Ingredients - Tribeca All Access and David Bouley’s Test Kitchen present a cinematic and culinary experience that showcase advanced approaches to film and food, as well as the various components driving their creativity. Over a specially prepared meal at the Tribeca Film Festival, eight selected TAA alumni will present a presentation of their project and engage with invited industry to discuss the advancement of their projects as it relates to development, production, marketing, and distribution. TAA will accredit team members of participating projects to the Tribeca Film Festival in order to take part in additional Tribeca All Access activities geared towards the year round development of the program alumni’s careers and projects. TAA Alumni may request assistance with either securing screening space or promotion for a screening at a festival, stand-alone event and other traditional or non-traditional methods of film exhibition. In addition to the online promotion that is available for all TAA alumni, the TAA staff will work closely with selected filmmakers to create a strategic plan to market and encourage audience development. Alumni need not to formally apply but can send request year round to Tribeca All Access and must include a description of the screening and requested budget.
