Dan Futterman was nominated for a 2005 Academy Award for his screenplay for the film “Capote.” He has since written a number of film scripts, all at various stages of development. Along with his wife, writer Anya Epstein, he is currently writing and serving as Executive Producer of the HBO series “In Treatment”. As an actor, Dan has appeared onstage in New York - on Broadway and off - in numerous productions (“Angels in America,” “The Lights,” “A Fair Country,” “Dealer’s Choice”.). His films include “A Mighty Heart,” “The Birdcage,” and “Urbania,” which was accepted into the Sundance Film Festival and for which he received Best Actor at the Seattle Film Festival.
