TFI New Media Fund 2014
Rosemarie is co-founder and director of Chaka Studio. Her film work deals mostly with Peruvian reality and she is interested in the potential of participatory models and new media technologies to tell stories that can have a social and political impact. She holds MA degrees in Screen Documentary, and Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship from Goldsmiths University.
Inspired by the Quipu, the knotted thread communication system of the Incas, this participatory and interactive documentary connects phones to the web to collect and share first-hand accounts of people affected by Peru’s unconsented sterilization policy.
