Director/Screenwriter
A native New Yorker, Michelange Quay studied anthropology and film at the University of Miami and New York University before going on to work on his master’s degree in Film Production at the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. During his time at NYU, Michelage made a documentary Myth of Seus and a short Forty Days, and subsequently shot Qu’on Leurs Donne des Yo-Yo in Haiti and France. Quay was selected to participate in the 2002 Résidence Ciné Fondation for Directors at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival, where his most recent short film Gospel of the Creole Pig was an official selection.
Producer
Born and raised in Paris, Tom Dercourt founded the company Les Films a un Dollar in 1996 with his brother Denis. The company distributes and sells films produced by the company. In 2003 Dercourt founded Shellac with Thomas Ordonneau. After purchasing the catalogue of rights of Magouric Distribution, the partners decided to distribute rare films, focusing on garnering press and public appreciation rather than relying on traditional marketing efforts.
